Fortnite Cheats FAQ 2026 — 45 Questions Answered

The 45 most-asked Fortnite cheat questions in 2025-2026. EAC, IOMMU, HWID, refunds, account recovery, settings, tournament play. Honest answers.

This post is a cluster of the Fortnite Cheats Complete 2026 Guide pillar. The pillar covered the structural landscape; this is the FAQ mega-post — 50 questions pulled from Reddit, Discord, our own support inbox, and the most-Googled Fortnite cheat search queries across 2025 and 2026 (May).

The questions are organized into eight categories: anti-cheat fundamentals, the Feb 2026 IOMMU mandate, HWID and spoofing, pricing and subscriptions, features and tuning, account recovery, tournament/competitive play, and operational/setup mistakes. If you have a question not covered here, ask us on Discord — we add to this FAQ regularly.

Anti-cheat fundamentals

1. What anti-cheat does Fortnite use in 2026? Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) is the primary kernel scanner. BattlEye is present as a secondary layer in some integrations. EAC is owned by Epic (acquired in 2018) so it gets development priority. EAC shipped a substantial Q1-Q2 2026 rebuild with materially faster signature scanning and expanded kernel-memory coverage. The official BattlEye FAQ confirms Fortnite compatibility for BattlEye but EAC is load-bearing.

2. Is Fortnite easy or hard to cheat in 2026? Harder than 2024, easier than 2027 will be. EAC's rebuild raised the technical bar. Epic's Layer 2 behavioral analysis (statistical pattern matching on player aim, kill streaks, reaction times) catches well-built private cheats over time. Hardware-rooted attestation (TPM 2.0 mandatory in 2024 for tournaments, IOMMU mandated Feb 2026) is closing the gap further. Software cheats from active in-house developers remain viable in 2026; public free cheats almost universally don't.

3. How does EAC detect cheats? Three layers. Kernel signature scanning (sweeps process memory + drivers + kernel memory pools for known patterns). Behavioral analysis (statistical anomalies in aim, kill rates, reaction times — feeds into MMR throttling and replay review triggers). Hardware fingerprinting (composite hash of ~12 hardware identifiers tied to your account history). Full breakdown in the Fortnite anti-cheat cluster.

4. Does BattlEye still ban accounts on Fortnite? Yes, in some integration paths. BattlEye operates as a secondary layer; its driver (BEDaisy.sys) loads alongside EAC. Bans attributed to "BattlEye" are typically still adjudicated via Epic's enforcement system, not BattlEye's independently.

5. Can I run a cheat without EAC noticing? For a while, yes. The detection window depends on the cheat's anti-detection engineering, how widely the cheat is distributed (public binaries get signed within hours; private cheats with active engineering maintain weeks to months), and how conservative your in-match behavior is. Permanent immunity doesn't exist — every "undetected" claim has a timestamp.

6. What's the difference between an internal and an external cheat? Internal cheats inject code into the Fortnite process. They have direct memory access but expose themselves to EAC's signature scanner running in Fortnite's memory space. External cheats run as their own process and read Fortnite's memory from outside. They're harder for kernel scanners to enumerate because EAC's scanner cannot sweep memory it doesn't own. Raw Fortnite is external.

7. What's the role of Epic's "behavioral analysis" layer? Catches cheats that pass the signature scanner. The model ingests per-player aim velocity deltas, headshot percentages, reaction-time consistency, and matchmaking-bracket-expected-vs-actual performance. Statistical outliers get flagged for replay review or MMR throttling. This is what catches well-tuned private cheats over time and is the structural reason behind conservative aimbot defaults (covered in Fortnite aimbot settings).

8. Are kernel anti-cheats like EAC really "rootkits"? By every technical measure, yes. The ACM peer-reviewed paper "If It Looks Like a Rootkit and Deceives Like a Rootkit" analyzes EAC and similar kernel anti-cheats and concludes they operate as rootkits. The reason is structural: cheats operate at ring 0, so anti-cheats need ring 0 access to detect them. That's the kernel-vs-kernel war.

The Feb 2026 IOMMU mandate

9. What is the Feb 2026 IOMMU mandate? Effective February 19, 2026, every PC tournament across Fortnite (from low-prize cash cups up through FNCS qualifiers) requires Secure Boot, TPM 2.0, and IOMMU enabled in BIOS. IOMMU was the new requirement; the other two were already required at the >account-level-350 tournament tier since 2024. Coverage in PC Gamer, VideoCardz, and TechSpot.

10. Why did the IOMMU mandate kill DMA cheats? IOMMU (called VT-d on Intel, AMD-Vi on AMD) is a hardware feature that gates which physical-memory regions a peripheral device is allowed to read or write. Consumer-grade DMA cheats use a PCIe card to read Fortnite's game memory directly via DMA. With IOMMU enabled, the chip-level memory wall blocks the card's RAM-read attempts. The card still enumerates and powers on; it just can't read the memory it needs to. Most consumer DMA cards stopped working overnight in tournament mode on Feb 19.

11. Does the IOMMU mandate affect casual / non-tournament Fortnite? Not yet (as of May 2026). The mandate applies only to PC tournament play. Casual / ranked queues don't enforce the IOMMU check, meaning DMA hardware still works in those modes today. Industry consensus is Epic will broaden the check across all matchmaking during 2026.

12. Does the IOMMU mandate affect software cheats? No. Software cheats run inside the same OS as Fortnite; they don't traverse PCIe memory walls. IOMMU is irrelevant to a properly built software cheat. Raw Fortnite, all in-house software cheats, and most paid private cheats were unaffected by the mandate.

13. I bought a DMA card in 2024. Is it now useless? For Fortnite tournament play specifically, yes. It may still work in casual modes today, but Epic's stated trajectory is to extend the IOMMU check across all modes. Don't buy new DMA hardware in 2026 for Fortnite specifically. Software cheats are the future-proof play.

14. Can I disable IOMMU in BIOS to use a DMA card in tournaments? The mandate requires IOMMU enabled for tournament eligibility. If you disable it, you cannot queue tournament-mode matches at all — the matchmaker checks before letting you in. So no, disabling IOMMU just locks you out of tournaments.

15. Will the IOMMU mandate spread to other games? Industry consensus says yes, over time. CS2, Valorant, and Marvel Rivals have already incorporated hardware-rooted attestation elements; full IOMMU mandates may follow Fortnite's lead. Hardware-DMA cheats as a category are entering structural decline across the entire competitive shooter market.

HWID and spoofing

16. What is an HWID ban? A hardware-level ban that ties your PC's composite hardware fingerprint to a "do not let this person play" list. New Epic accounts created on the same PC are flagged before they ever join a match.

17. What hardware identifiers does EAC read? At minimum: SMBIOS UUID + serial + manufacturer, disk serials, CPU registry block, NetworkAdapter GUIDs, MachineGuid, Windows Activation Technologies key, WMI block, monitor EDID, USB ContainerIDs, TPM endorsement key, GPU device serial, BIOS UUID, sometimes RAM SPD. Each is hashed and composited. Full breakdown in Fortnite HWID spoofer guide 2026.

18. What does an HWID spoofer actually do? Loads a kernel driver before EAC starts reading, installs hooks on the identifier-read paths, randomizes the values within plausible ranges, persists for the session. Raw Spoofer covers the ~12 spoofable identifiers EAC reads.

19. What can't be spoofed? Silicon-baked CPUID (only spoofable via hypervisor, which adds detection surface). TPM endorsement keys (firmware-rooted; only Samuel Tulach's proof-of-concept has tried). Firmware-flashed GPU serials (require physical reflash). Microsoft Remote Attestation (used by COD Black Ops 7, not yet by Fortnite — but coming).

20. Do I need to disable Secure Boot for the spoofer to work? No. Raw Spoofer is signed and loads cleanly with Secure Boot enabled. If a spoofer requires you to disable Secure Boot, that's a sign of an older / unsigned driver — and disabling Secure Boot makes tournament Fortnite unplayable anyway.

21. How often do I need to run the spoofer? Every cold boot before you play. The hooks unload when the spoofer exits or the system shuts down. You don't need to re-spoof every match — just every session start.

22. Will hardware swap fix an HWID ban? Sometimes, but not as cheaply as a spoofer. EAC composites ~12 identifiers; a single motherboard swap changes maybe 3-4 of them. To do a clean re-entry via hardware, you need motherboard + storage + NICs + (for tournament play) monitor. At 2026 PC component prices that's $400-800. Raw Spoofer is $4.99.

23. Can I share a spoofer license across PCs? The license is single-PC. Hardware identifier randomization is per-machine. If you have multiple PCs, you need a license per PC (typically each is a separate $4.99 purchase).

24. Does Raw Spoofer work for games other than Fortnite? Yes — same product, every game. Raw Spoofer covers Fortnite, Rust, Marvel Rivals, Arc Raiders, Overwatch, and PUBG. One purchase, one license, every game we cover. See the HWID spoofer pillar for cross-game economics.

Pricing, subscriptions, and refunds

25. How much does Raw Fortnite cost? From $4.99 / 24 hours. Plans: $4.99 / 1 day, $11.99 / 3 days, $19.99 / 7 days, $40 / 30 days. All features included in every plan (aimbot, silent aim, multi-class ESP, radar, exploits, all 9 languages). Raw Spoofer is $4.99 separately. Current pricing on the product page.

26. Is the spoofer included or extra? Extra. Raw Spoofer is $4.99 separately. We recommend buying both — the spoofer pays for itself the first time you eat a wave. Most users budget $9.98 for a 24-hour cheat-plus-spoofer session.

27. What's the cheapest legitimate Fortnite cheat? At the $3.50-4.99 / 24h range, multiple options exist. Below $3.50, the listings are typically resellers of the same upstream binary or storefronts with poor uptime. The Fortnite cheat pricing comparison cluster covers 12 active providers with current pricing.

28. Do you offer refunds? Yes. 24-hour pre-use refund (full); pro-rated credit for any extended EAC downtime (>12 hours). Linked from checkout. We don't gatekeep refund eligibility with broad exclusion language — if you didn't get what you paid for, you get your money back.

29. What happens to my subscription during EAC patching? The loader auto-pauses your subscription clock when it detects an EAC version bump. The clock resumes when the patched build is verified working. You never pay for hours when the cheat isn't usable. Patches ship within 6-12 hours of every EAC update.

30. Why do you charge per-day instead of per-month? Because most casual cheat users don't want a monthly commitment for occasional play. Per-day pricing lets you buy access only when you need it. If you play frequently, monthly is the better value (30-day plan is roughly 60-75% of buying 30 individual days).

31. Do you accept crypto? Yes — we accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero, and several others. Crypto purchases add an extra step of operational separation from your main payment method, which is good practice for Fortnite cheating (see setting up Fortnite cheats safely).

32. Are there volume discounts for buying multiple products? The pricing tiers per product are the discount structure. If you buy a longer plan (7-day, 30-day), the per-day cost drops. Separate-product discounts don't currently exist — Raw Fortnite and Raw Spoofer are individually priced.

Features and tuning

33. What does Raw Fortnite include? Aimbot (4-slot bone priority, FOV slider 0-100%, smoothness 0-500, visible-only filter, auto-prediction, configurable aim key with Hold/Toggle/Always modes); Visuals/Players (3 box styles, head dot, skeleton, weapon, name, rank, distance, snaplines, max distance 5-2000m, animated live preview); Visuals/World (rarity-tiered loot Common→Mythic, container ESP with hide-opened toggle); Radar (configurable size/position/zoom, FOV cone overlay); Exploits panel (FOV Changer 10-160, No Spread, No Recoil, Silent Aim with hit-chance slider); Settings (9 languages, theme/accent color, config save/load slots).

34. Does Raw Fortnite have a triggerbot? No. Triggerbot was removed from the menu in V3.20. Epic's detection on click-cadence patterns made the reliability/risk math unfavorable. Aimbot covers the use cases that triggerbot previously addressed.

35. Does Raw Fortnite have a health bar / HP overlay? No. The Fortnite ESPConfig explicitly omits the health field. Reading the HP value adds detection surface that Epic's behavioral analysis flags. The trade-off (slightly worse engagement decisions) is worth the lower detection risk. Covered in detail in Fortnite ESP features explained.

36. Does Raw Fortnite have vehicle ESP? No. Vehicles aren't rendered as a separate ESP class. Current chapter map has limited vehicle pressure compared to chapter 3 — we prioritized engineering effort on player + loot + radar.

37. What does "Silent Aim" actually do? Fires bullets at a target inside your engagement window while your visible crosshair stays off-target. The kill cam shows damage with your crosshair pointing elsewhere, which reads as a lucky shot. It is not a wall-shoot feature — the target must still be in your line of sight. Silent Aim includes a hit-chance slider (0-100%); recommended 60-80% for non-tournament use. Treat as a cautious-use exploit, not a daily-driver.

38. Can Silent Aim shoot through walls? No. This is the most common misconception about Silent Aim. The feature leaves your crosshair off-target while firing, but the enemy must still be in your engagement window — silent aim does not let you fire at enemies you cannot see. If a vendor markets "silent aim through walls", they're either misrepresenting the feature or describing an exploit that doesn't exist.

39. Does the menu support languages other than English? Yes — 9 built-in language translations: Arabic, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, plus English. Real translation files, not Google-translate stubs.

40. Can I save multiple cheat configs? Yes. Settings → Configs → Save/Load. Multiple named slots. Standard pattern: separate configs for casual, ranked, and tournament play. Swap between presets without re-tuning. See Fortnite aimbot settings for recommended starting configs per mode.

41. Does Raw Fortnite work in Zero Build? Yes. Zero Build is where the aimbot and ESP shine hardest because there's no building to intercept line of sight or break aim tracking. Bullet drop compensation handles long-range AR / sniper fights identically to build mode.

42. Does Raw Fortnite work with controller? Yes. Keybinds support keyboard, mouse buttons, and controller inputs. Aim key can be bound to any controller button (trigger / bumper / face button). Aimbot behavior is identical regardless of input device.

43. How do I tune for tournament play? Bone priority Chest → Head → Arms → Legs (reduces headshot-rate visibility on replay), FOV cone 10-30%, smoothness 300-500, Visible-Only ON, Silent Aim OFF, exploits stack-off (don't combine No Spread + No Recoil + max FOV). Full tournament config in Fortnite aimbot settings.

44. Can I customize the menu theme / colors? Yes. Settings includes theme color, accent color, and overall opacity controls. Most users tune accent color for readability against their typical gameplay scenes. The animated ESP preview in the Players tab reflects your theme changes in real time.

Account recovery and ban handling

45. What happens if I get banned anyway? Run Raw Spoofer to randomize your hardware identifiers, create a fresh Epic account (different email, different payment method), and you're back to playing. The Spoofer changes the fingerprint EAC reads at session start, so a previously banned HWID composite becomes a fresh composite. Your old account stays banned — we cannot unban Epic accounts.

46. Can I recover a banned Epic account by emailing Epic support? Almost never. Epic's appeals process exists but cheating-related bans are very rarely overturned. The 2025 amnesty wave (covered in Fortnite ban wave history) was a one-time policy reset, not a precedent. Plan around the ban being permanent.

47. Is my old account still banned if I run a spoofer? Yes. The spoofer changes your hardware fingerprint going forward; it doesn't retroactively unban any account. The old account stays banned (because the ban is associated with the account, not just the hardware). You move forward on a fresh account.

48. Can my main Epic account be flagged if I cheat on a separate account? Yes, if Epic's behavioral analysis links them. The link signals are: shared payment method (top signal), shared IP at account creation, shared device fingerprint, shared friends-list patterns, shared cosmetic-transfer attempts. Run a fresh account with full separation (see setting up Fortnite cheats safely) to minimize the link.

49. How long should I wait after a ban before creating a new account? At least 24 hours. Epic's analysis flags rapid-create-new-account-after-ban patterns; a delay reduces the link signal. 48-72 hours is more conservative.

50. What if I bought V-Bucks / cosmetics on the banned account? They're forfeit. Epic does not refund purchased content on banned accounts, regardless of the reason for the ban. This is part of the asymmetric-risk argument for never cheating on your main account — your cosmetic and V-Bucks investment becomes a hostage to your operational discipline. Use fresh accounts with zero cosmetic investment for cheat play.

Tournament and competitive play

51. Can I use Raw Fortnite in FNCS tournaments? Mechanically possible; not recommended without specifically reading setting up Fortnite cheats safely. FNCS-tier matches are subject to manual replay review for any match with prize money. Your aim curve has to pass not just the kill cam but frame-by-frame analysis. Even with conservative tuning (covered in tournament config above), playing for meaningful prize money is accepting tail risk that scales with the prize pool. Bugha and ~20 other pros were DQ'd in 2026 even for non-cheat tools that crossed Epic's line (Esports.gg coverage).

52. Is RawCheats responsible if I get banned in a cash cup? No. Like every cheat provider, we disclaim liability for in-game enforcement outcomes. The Epic v. RepulseGod $175k federal judgment (Tom's Hardware coverage) established that individual liability for cheating in cash-prize Fortnite events exists in US federal law. We provide the tool; you decide where and how to use it. For tournament play specifically, the risk math is meaningfully worse than for casual / ranked queue and you should make an informed decision.

53. What was the Bugha DQ in 2026 about? April 25, 2026, Epic disqualified Bugha and ~20 other pros mid-event from FNCS Major 1 for using "Surge", a bus-drop optimization tool widely treated as a community resource. The DQs were later reversed when Epic clarified the tool's status, but disqualified players' qualifying spots were not restored (Esports.gg coverage + Dotesports follow-up). The episode highlighted that even pros can't reliably predict which tools cross Epic's enforcement line.

54. Will my replays be reviewed in casual queue? No. Epic doesn't bulk-review casual matches. Replay review is triggered by reports, MMR-bracket anomalies, or tournament-tier participation. Casual queue is the low-review-pressure tier; ranked is medium; tournament is high.

55. How do I know if my cheat survived the latest ban wave? The reliable signal is whether the provider has been silent or whether they've shipped a patched build. Raw Fortnite's loader shows current status on launch; live status is also on the Fortnite cheat status page. If a provider goes silent for >24 hours after a community-reported wave, that's the warning sign.

Operational mistakes and setup gotchas

56. What's the single most common mistake users make? Wrong cold-boot order. Running the spoofer after Fortnite or the Epic Games launcher has already started is the #1 reason spoofers "don't work." The spoof has to be in place before EAC's first read, which means before the launcher even runs. Full pre-flight in setting up Fortnite cheats safely.

57. Is it safe to stream while running Raw Fortnite? Yes, if you've verified stream-proof rendering via the OBS Game Capture test (step 6 in our pre-flight). Raw Fortnite's overlay layer renders separately from the game's swap chain capture, so OBS and Fortnite's native replay don't see the cheat UI. Verify before relying on it.

58. Can I run Raw Fortnite on a virtual machine? Not recommended. EAC has VM detection; running Fortnite inside a VM gets you flagged in most configurations regardless of cheat use. Anti-detection engineering for VM environments is a separate, harder problem than for bare-metal Windows.

59. Should I cheat on a shared family PC? Strongly not recommended. Hardware fingerprint contamination affects every Epic account on the PC. Other family members' accounts inherit the cheat's risk surface. Don't put their accounts at risk for your cheating.

60. Is a VPN required for using Raw Fortnite? Not required. The fresh-account-IP discipline (different IP at account creation, normal home IP for ongoing play) is the practical pattern. A VPN reduces IP-based pattern matching but is not load-bearing — hardware fingerprint and behavioral patterns matter more.

61. Are free Fortnite cheats from GitHub safe to test? No. The free Fortnite cheats circulating on GitHub, YouTube, and forum threads in 2025-2026 are overwhelmingly infostealer malware (Vidar Stealer 2.0, Lumma, StealC, RedLine). They harvest your Steam tokens, Discord tokens, browser-saved passwords, and crypto wallet keys. Getting banned on Fortnite is the least bad outcome — losing your Steam library and crypto wallet is the typical one. Full breakdown in the free cheats cluster.

62. What if I accidentally ran a free cheat already? Assume your Steam, Discord, Epic, and any browser-saved credentials are compromised. Change every password from a different, clean device. Rotate 2FA on every account. Revoke active sessions on Discord, Steam, Epic, Google, every social platform. Audit your crypto wallet transaction history immediately. Reformat the infected PC and reinstall Windows from clean media — infostealer persistence mechanisms survive most cleanup attempts. Full recovery procedure in free Fortnite cheats cluster.

63. Why does my antivirus flag Raw Fortnite? Because Raw Fortnite is a cheat — by definition, it does things AV vendors are designed to flag (kernel-level memory access, process inspection, hook installation). The flag is correct behavior from the AV perspective. The mitigation: add a specific Microsoft Defender exclusion for the Raw Fortnite install folder before running. We document this in the loader installation flow. Important: never add blanket Defender exclusions just because some random GitHub README told you to (the smoking-gun pattern of fake-cheat malware) — exclusions should be scoped tightly to the verified Raw Fortnite install path only.

64. Does Raw Fortnite work with Windows 11 24H2 / latest Insider builds? Yes. We test against current Windows 11 release builds including 24H2. If a Windows update breaks compatibility, patches typically ship within 24 hours. Raw Fortnite supports both Windows 10 and Windows 11 across Intel and AMD CPUs, with NVIDIA / AMD / Intel GPUs.

65. How do I bind the Menu Key to something other than INSERT? Settings → General → Menu Key. Click the binding field, press the new key (keyboard, mouse button, or controller input). Save the config. Most users rebind to a less-frequently-used key like F11 or a side mouse button.
