How Do I Update RawCheats?
The Raw loader auto-updates on launch. When you open the loader, it checks our update servers, downloads any patched binaries, and verifies signatures before running. No manual download, no folder management, no executable swaps. Major rebuilds (a full anti-cheat patch response) take 1-3 minutes to download, minor offset updates are instant. If auto-update fails, delete the loader folder and re-download from rawcheats.com using the same license — no extra cost.
RawCheats updates are handled transparently by the loader. Three categories of update flow through different paths — offsets, loader binaries, and cheat-side patches for anti-cheat updates. Understanding which is which helps when troubleshooting.
Offset updates — silent and instant
Game memory offsets (the addresses inside the game's RAM where player position, health, ammo, etc. live) change every patch. Fortnite ships updates Tuesdays, Rust on Thursdays, Marvel Rivals roughly biweekly, Arc Raiders on Wednesdays. The Raw loader streams updated offsets from our infrastructure at the moment of injection — you never download an offset file, you never paste an address into a config. The stream is signed and encrypted; failures fall back to the last good cached set.
Loader binary updates
When we ship a new loader version, the existing loader detects the version change on launch, downloads the new binary, verifies the Authenticode signature, and restarts itself. The user sees a 2-3 second progress bar. Loader updates carry feature additions (new product support, new menu options, UI changes) and security improvements.
Cheat patch response to anti-cheat updates
When Easy Anti-Cheat, BattlEye, or another vendor ships a signature push, we patch our cheat-side code to neutralize the new check. This is the largest update type — 1-3 minutes download, requires a full loader restart. The forum status board shows Updating during this window. The loader will refuse to inject until status flips back to Green.
Manual update fallback
If the auto-update mechanism fails (corrupted download, network issue, firewall block), delete the entire RawCheats folder (default %LOCALAPPDATA%\RawCheats), then re-download the loader from rawcheats.com using your account. No extra cost — the license is account-bound, not binary-bound. The fresh install pulls your saved configs from the cloud sync.
How to know an update happened
The loader UI displays the current version in the bottom-left. The forum status board shows the latest patch timestamp per product. Discord status pings notify subscribers of major updates. If you see version X yesterday and version X+1 today, an update ran in the background.
Update frequency
Offset streams: every game patch (1-2x per week per product). Loader binaries: monthly average, sometimes more during anti-cheat-update-heavy weeks. Cheat patches in response to detection: variable, sometimes weekly during active anti-cheat campaigns, sometimes a month of quiet.
Update windows and your sessions
If you plan to play during a known update window (Tuesdays for Fortnite, Thursdays for Rust), expect a brief pause status. Open the forum status board before launching — 30 seconds of patience saves hours of trying to inject a paused build. Discord status pings show the green-flip in real time.
What auto-update doesn't touch
The Raw Spoofer doesn't auto-update inside the same flow as the loader. Spoofer updates are rarer (the identifier surface changes slowly) and ship as a fresh download — when a spoofer update is needed, the Raw Spoofer product page shows the latest version and you re-download. License re-use is the same as the loader.
Network requirements
Update traffic is HTTPS to update.rawcheats.com. If your firewall blocks outbound HTTPS to this host, auto-update fails silently and you fall back to the manual workflow. Allow the host (or RawCheats install folder) through your firewall.
